Back to the future 3000

"You have done it!! I believe in you!!" hollered Mr. Jansson, CEO of the local Karlskrona Swedbank office and jumped up form his chair in a clear reaction of pure happiness. We had convinced the investors to invest in our project thanks to our perfect pitch!

Mr. Jansson left the room and got a trolly full of Dom Perignon that he had prepared in advance for us, since he had felt the success in the air. "Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah for group number two!" He yelled as he came in running with the trolly. "Lets do this!!" he said as he saved some bottles from the clear death they faced if they hit the floor.

Suddenly the doors slammed wide open with a loud bang. Surprised we all turned around and faced Mick Cordero, standing there in silence surrounded by a bright light, lots of smoke and two secretaries standing on each side of him. "Vi är på gång! Vi är laddade vi är tända!!" boomed loudly from the speakers as if they were about to break. Mick stepped to the group with firm steps and a ready steady handshake. "Jeg mast fåe skage ere haender! Ni are die beste grouppe!" he said as he gave us a cheque with a huge amount, we dear not speak of, "Here you go!".

Shaken n stirred group two rises with open jaws and highfives till their palms hurts! We had made it, we were ready to move on. Get our idea out on the market! Suddenly another interruption occurred in the form of Bethovens fifth symphony. It was Olas phone, while deadly silence spread he answered the phone…. The uncomfortable silence lasted for 12 minutes until Ola hang up and announced that the Bonnier group and Cap & design was onboard our venture!!

Mr. Jansson came up to Ola clapped his back and said "Stop talking now sonny, take two bottles of dommpa and lets do this!!". Mr Jansson takes the hole trolly and lifts it up in the air. He then grabs a bottle in the air and starts shaking it 'til the cork flies of with a huge bang. It hits the chandelier of the bank, who in its turn, drops down off the ceiling, right over Jerry the intern.

Sadly for Jerry; the Group, Mick, Mr Jansson and the investors were already running off into the sunset and the bright future as fresh out of school students on their way into big success in the industry and life!!

//Group 2 aka The flying postits

P.S. ...if only the group had stayed they would have realized Jerrys dark secret. They had an evil cyborg by their side all this time. He rised and cluched his fists as he screamed out in angst and swore to take revenge upon the group. (Cliffhanger for possible sequel, freeze frame, fade out, credits to generic rocksong. )

Process Followup

Today we had a process follow up with Jonas Lidman via Skype.

We talked about 3 subjects.
- What has been good whit the teamwork?
- What do you take with you as a personal success and learnings?
- How have you perceived the group working in relation to the defined Preject?

What has been good whit the teamwork?

We have very fun in our team, much laughs and crazy stuff going on. Which makes a good atmosphere and creative ideas. But now when we are finished with the idea development we could be alot more focused and structured.

- What do you take with you as a personal success and learnings?
We all really like the idea and we also belive in it as a real project that we may can continue after this module. But it's to early to say what we have learned of this module yet. This is just the beginning and we got much more to learn now when we'll start to work with the actual idea.

- How have you perceived the group working in relation to the defined Preject?
We talked much in the preject meeting about what we wanted the product/service to be like. So all of us was on the right highway from the first start. Now we all are satisfied with the final outcome of the idea development which was one of the most important in our opinion, all of us wanted a realistic idea and there we are!

Now it's friday and that rocks!

The Group

Preject for the group

Clarification (How we have interpret the module and the desired
outcome)
This project feels pretty open, if you want to do one thing from scratch
or build upon something already existing.

It's really open how to split up the time, how much time for idea
development, business plan etc. But that all depends on the idea too.

It has to do with thinking economical, how to make a business plan
and a budget.

We think we learn more by working on a realistic idea, to be ready for
whats coming in the future and to have something serious in our
portfolio.

It's better to get the judges attention if it's something realistic. We
need to write as good business plan as possible. See it as a real
Dragon's Den, be prepared for though questions.

It's the perfect opportunity to come up with something that we
actually could make real and make money out of. Starting up a
company is also a great experience and to have on your CV.

Summary: Come up with an idea, write a business plan plus budget,
and deliver/presentation.

Check in (Personal goal/ambition with the project)
Josue: my goal is to learn how to write a business plan and think of the
economical part of a project. You keep forgetting that in a creative
role. Especially working at an agency where you just leave it to the
economic department.

Ola: I have previous experience of starting up business, I've been in
this situation a lot of times. But my goal is to take an idea all the way
to the end, thats my goal as they usually get left on the desk. It's a
good opportunity while you have time set up for it.

Lina: I think it's an excellent opportunity to do this properly when
having that time set up for it in school.good opportunity while you have time set up for it.

Alex: I like that we get the chance to develop an idea for real not only
leave it in the back of the head, now we're a group of people to make it
happen too. Personal goal: how to convince the Dragons also in a
graphical way.

Lina: to be kickass in presentation. To really feel comfortable and to be
ready for every question we get. Really prepare sharp answers for a
million questions that could come up in order to show them we've been
thinking of Everything.

Ola: To make it so good that I want to put it in my portfolio, something
to be proud of.

John: I agree with the above, my goal is to have something to be proud
of and to put in my portfolio. And that we manage to come up with
such a great idea and business plan that starting up a new company
would be possible.

Define guidelines (How we shall work together)
So hard to tell before the idea is set.

Josue would like to try the Project Manager role.

Check in:s and check outs. Set up daily deadlines. Make a timeline/
calender with deadlines, with an overview.

Everyone is different, and has different creative time rythms. We need
to take that into consideration - as long as everyone takes
responsibility and make sure the their job is done, in order to make
this project as great as possible.

Everyone helps everyone. If you have spare time you can help
someone else.

Define the Vision, Milestones and Success criteria
Our vision is to make a real company.
To have such a good idea and business plan and a great pitch, so that if
we want, we could start off our own company.

Milestones
- Three ideas until Tuesday 3rd of November 18:00.
- After 3rd of November to have an idea that everyone can stand for.
- Draft Business concept 1.0 deadline 12th November 18:00.
- Present a great Business concept the 19th November.

Success criteria
We want to do heavier research to be able to make a great idea.
Research target group, market analysis, needs, what is there in our
area? etc. Learn and apply the SCRUM-method.
Research is a key to success. (Vara medvetna och pålästa)
Build a great ground for a real company.

If you have a great ground and a great idea, much is won to convince
the Dragons.
